Peter’s company Alvey & Towers have been undertaking professional railway photography for over two decades, and are renowned throughout the industry for their work in this area.
Commissions undertaken for railway customers are varied and can range from scenic trackside location work, to working depots and yards, to PR shots of events and personnel, passengers on board trains and studio work for product photography.
Ever respectful of the stringent safety procedures that are required for a professional railway photographer to work within the rail industry environment, Peter carries a Personal Track Safety Certificate and has completed the Industry Common Induction qualification.
Peter also carries a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card. The combination of the two cards is particularly beneficial for access to areas where site building development is taking place on railway premises e.g. for continuing progress photography over a period of time. Peter also of course carries a full set of PPE at all times.
Following all railway photoshoots images undergo a post-shoot digital editing process. Peter’s professional railway photographs are then supplied directly to the commissioning client as high resolution digital files, ready for use without the expense of any further reuse fees often encountered with other photographers.
